SKI-3 S is synthetic isoprene rubber used for the production of rubber goods. It is the nearest substitute for a natural rubber and can be sued alone or in combination with other rubbers. SKI-3 S is produced by solution polymerization of isoprene with titanium as a catalyst. The rubber is stabilized by a non-staining BHT antioxidant that is approved for medical purposes and alimentary product use. Can be used alone or mixed with natural and synthetic rubbers. Can be used in the production of various technical, coloured rubber and medical articles. Specific uses include transparent medical tubes for blood transfusion, pharmaceutical stoppers, gaskets, hoses, white coloured shoe soles, transportation belts and tire layers.
